This summer has gone by so fast. Our niece Codi spent the summer with us. We had so many projects lined up to do while Codi was here. 🙂 🙂 Will needless to say we didn’t even get half of them done, much less started. All of the critters had other plans for us. (The story of my life. LOL!)
Codi and I went to the auction. It was the first time for Codi to go to a auction. We had a great time watching all the goats and cattle. Codi learned alot about the auctions. It was a long day but, a fun day!
Codi was able to learn first hand what a working farm is all about. Early to rise, hard work and late nights. She learned animal husbandry. Hmmm wonder if she could write a paper about that for FFA?? Oh almost forgot she learned to milk the goats. Make cheese with the milk, and to make goat milk soap. Codi walked the baby Boer goats a couple times a day. Working towards our first Goat show. Codi became a chicken wrangler…at night we had to make sure all the chickens were in the chicken pen. If not we had to catch them. Codi was a pro at catching chickens by the end of the summer. 🙂 🙂 🙂
The hot days working out in the heat made us think about getting in the water trough. We never did but, it sure did look inviting. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Codi went home this past weekend. It’s time to register for school. I’m feeling sad and blessed all at the same time. The house is so quite. I don’t have Codi asking now what are we going to do… 🙂 “I want to take a nap” Codi has kept me going that’s for sure. Would not change it for the world. Love you Codi!
Hope you have a nice day!
I’m here for you!
